Overview

The Chickahominy Indian Tribe Housing Department uses the annual Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) along with other funding opportunities to provide various housing assistance programs to eligible Chickahominy Tribal citizens.

Home Rehabilitation/Weatherization

The Home Rehabilitation and Weatherization program will provide assistance in making eligible repairs to existing homes of tribal citizens.

General Housing Assistance

The Chickahominy Indian Tribe provides short term assistance for eligible families who may need rental or first month’s deposit assistance, mortgage foreclosure assistance, and/or utility bill assistance.

Wells/Septic Systems

The Chickahominy Indian Tribe can use IHBG funding to provide additional assistance to homeowners who are in need of repairs to existing well and septic systems.

Down Payment/Closing Costs Assistance

The Down Payment or Closing Costs Assistance program can provide assistance to eligible home buyers.
